THE INITIATIVE

More than just another condominium project, the Gates on Manhattan Faith-Based Housing Initiative offers you the following benefits:

  • Two and three-bedroom condominium ownership available to members for less than rent.
  • The only financing program on the West Bank catering to working families with less-than-perfect credit and offering standard 30 year mortgages at below market rates.
  • Initiative leadership provided by Rev. Richie L. Butler, creator of Unity Estates, a housing community sponsored by the African American Pastor’s Coalition of Dallas.  Pastor Butler will be available to speak to congregations on the West Bank
  • Educate your members about the benefits of homeownership through workshops held in your church and tailored to your church and held on your schedule!
  • A contribution will be made to partner churches for each member purchasing their own home!

THE INITIATIVE PARTNERSHIP

The GATES ON MANHATTAN FAITH-BASED HOUSING INITIATIVE is made possible through an innovative public/private/non-profit partnership dedicated to the provision of housing for the area’s workforce.  The members of the partnership include a real estate team led by the New Orleans firm leTriomphe Property Group, working with CityView and Our Castle Homes, two firms nationally-recognized for their success in the creation of workforce housing.  The non-profit partners are the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America and American Sunrise Communities.

THE CHURCH AND HOUSING

Nowhere in the United States is the need for quality, reasonable housing for working families more acute than in and around New Orleans.  While much has been written about, and much attention paid to the rebuilding of homes on the East Bank of the Mississippi River, the West Bank continues to struggle to provide housing for its workforce.
The GATES ON MANHATTAN FAITH-BASED HOUSING INITIATIVE offers the faith-based community on the West Bank an opportunity to become involved in building a stronger community by introducing high-quality two and three-bedroom condominium homes for the workforce at prices well below current market rates.
Under the initiative, the faith community, joining a partnership that includes government, private sector and non-profit groups, is able to offer their members an alternative to high rents and uncertain financial markets.
